James and the Phronesis team have a long history of working in the telecoms space, they have been heavily involved in shaping the global A2P SMS space and moving the industry to one of high standards and compliance.
Whilst on this journey the team began to see the increasing value in the use of unique data that is held inside mobile and telecom operators, this data has the potential to address many of the operational and security challenges facing enterprises when transacting with their customers in a mobile lead environment. Early on we understood most of these enterprises are applying web solutions to a mobile journey, which is based on different technology and consumer behaviour, so their frustrations are borne out of solutions not fit for purpose and a lack of available alternatives.
The question for the Phronesis team was how to provide this unique customer data under a controlled and trusted framework in which the customer has full knowledge and consent of how the data is being used, but in an easy to understand and use format that an enterprise can leverage to make critical business decision. Thus Phronesis was born.
We believe that by combining the knowledge of the Phronesis team in relation to operator data, the high-quality data obtained directly from partnerships with leading mobile network operators and an understanding of the challenges facing today’s enterprise we can create solutions that will make mobile simple, safe and secure once again.

James Trenholme, Co-Founder and CEO
Prior to founding Phronesis Technologies James was Head of Business Development for Global Wholesale at Jersey Telecom. Managing business development strategy, partnerships, business plans, channel & partnerships execution, go-to-market campaigns & strategy. Responsible for the direct field interaction with mobile operator groups around the world and resellers/vendors for SMS and Mobile Intelligence Services. James was a senior member of the Jersey Telecom leadership team.
James also founded an innovative technology recruitment platform called NicheHunters based around social network talent communities in unique global markets.
James lived in Jersey for 12 years but has recently moved back to UK and is now living in Bath, he enjoys cooking using the great Somerset produce and is trying to master bread making.

Matthew Hornsey, Co-Founder and Head of Product
Starting his career at Jersey Telecom (JT) in 2000, Matthew became the principle Business Development Manager for JT’s offshore services division (JT Global). Matthew joined Infobip as Vice President – Strategy and Partnerships in 2010 and later CLX Networks (now Sinch) as Director Operator Relations in 2011. Recognising the changing dynamics of the telecoms market, Matthew co-founded MessageTree in 2013, to provide Platform-as-a-Service solutions to mobile operators - successfully deploying an API gateway and the UK’s first ID Gateway with three MNOs. A service framework which now underpins leading institutional fraud protection services everyday.
Identifying unaddressed market potential for validating a person’s mobile identity, Matthew co-founded Phronesis in 2018.
When not staring into his screen or mapping out our products, Matthew loves to be creative in the kitchen and explore the great outdoors (on foot and by Land Rover).
Dr Guillaume Peersman, Head of Technology
Guillaume has worked in the ICT industry for over 20 years. Guillaume has a degree in Electronics and Computer networks from the Institut Supérieur d’Electronique de Paris (1996) and was awarded a PhD by the University of Sheffield (2003) for his work on mobile networks messaging services.
In 1993 Guillaume joined Dialogue Communication as part of a sponsorship agreement with Sheffield University. Over the course of the next 16 years he held various positions in the company and was appointed Managing Director in 2007 until his departure in 2012. Guillaume has since been involved on a consultancy basis with a number of start-ups and venture capitalist firms.
Guillaume has over 30 years of software development experience covering a wide range of coding languages and architectures. Guillaume has designed, implemented a deployed a number of massively scalable and mission critical platforms over his career

Deepti Dawar, Solutions Architect
Deepti has over 11 years of experience in IT Solution Design/Leadership/Consulting/Development/Support, including more than 5 years in Analytics/BI/ETL domain. She is a highly revered consultant in Salesforce Applications and Einstein Analytics space for design, development and maintenance of solutions of colossal scale.
Throughout her career Deepti has worked in diverse cultures in different geographies (UK, Australia, Israel and India).
Deepti is responsible for end-to-end implementation of the Salesforce community portal, backend CRM and insights with Phronesis Technologies, starting from requirement analysis to system study, designing, coding, testing, and optimising the use of these applications.

Working with data and lead sourcing methods to identify potential clients
Promoting Phronesis ahead of key targeted industry events to secure customer meetings
Conducting on-line demonstrations of our solutions for prospective clients, outlining the features and benefits our platform can add to their business
Collaborating with sales management to secure new business contracts
Account management to nurture long term relationships with clients
